About NOF

The National Osteoporosis Foundation is the leading consumer and community-focused health organization dedicated to the prevention of osteoporosis and broken bones, the promotion of strong bones for life and the reduction of human suffering through programs of public and clinician awareness, education, advocacy and research.

NOF is led by a dedicated Board of Trustees committed to guiding our mission and responsible for the direction and fiscal integrity of the organization. The NOF Board of Trustees is comprised of field leaders and experts, including medical and scientific thought leaders, corporate and foundation trailblazers, political leaders, and consumer advocates who contribute time, talent, and financial resources to the organization.

NOF has had a direct, positive impact on the lives of men and women, alerting a nation to a major public health threat and helping the patients and families who need support. Learn more.

Through the support of NOF’s partners, we can propel medical research towards better treatments and possibly a cure, develop a national action plan for bone health and inspire others to join us in eliminating this public health threat. See who has helped advance our case.
